This Privacy Policy explains what information Mynd Domains collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Mynd Domains is a community initiative operated and maintained by Mynd Labs.
Information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to process your subdomain application and operate the service:
- Name — so we can address you and credit you as a builder.
- Email address — to respond to your application and send essential service notices.
- Requested subdomain — the label you'd like to claim under our domain.
- Application message — any context you choose to share about your project.
- Technical logs — standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, user agent) generated when you visit the site, used only for security and reliability.
How we use your information
We use your information solely to operate Mynd Domains: reviewing applications, assigning subdomains, preventing abuse, and communicating with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
The site uses a minimal cookie consent banner. Essential cookies keep the site working (for example, remembering your consent choice). We do not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can decline non-essential cookies from the banner on your first visit.
Third parties & parent organization
Mynd Domains is operated by Mynd Labs. Your application data may be shared with the Mynd Labs team members who maintain this service. We do not share your information with any external advertiser or data broker.
Data retention
We keep application data for as long as your subdomain is active, plus a short period afterward for record-keeping and abuse prevention. You can request deletion at any time (see Your rights).
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us using the contact at the bottom of this page. We respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and input validation. No service is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with care proportional to its sensitivity.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email if we have your address on file.
